@There are many fully-aromatic polymers known to have unique thermal, electrical, and optical properties. Fluoropolyimides are new class of polymers having combination of high functionality due to fluorine atoms and high thermal stability due to the polyimides. Currently we are researching on solid state morphologies and relationship with its optical, elctrical and thermal properties of fluorinated polymers and fully-aromatic polymers.
Fine measurement and enhancement thermally stable polymer optical properties (refractive index, birifringence, photo-absorption, fluorescence)
Development of thermally stable and thermally conductive materials by using phase separation between fluorinated / sulfonated polyimides.
Design of novel optical polyimide materials by using variation in electrical structure, conformation, orientation triggered by high pressure.
Development of new spectroscopic methods appropriate for fluorinated polymers and fully aromatic polyimides.
Predictions of optical properties in IR and UV by using calculation methods.
Improvements in optical and electrical properties by hybridization with inorganic and metallic nanoparticles.
